PROFILE OF DAVID NARTEY TEKPENOR

Before joining the Chamber of Iron and Steel Industry, Ghana, Mr. David Nartey Tekpenor was the Deputy CEO of the Africa-Europe Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is an experienced and motivated personality with a proven track record in the NGO industry in Ghana. His strong leadership skills, strategic planning prowess spanning over 18 years of work with NGOs and CSOs, and excellent communication abilities have led to his successful management of donor funded Projects and Programs with different NGOs such as The Opportunities Industrialization Centers International, Ghana (OICI), Plan International – USA and Hope for Future Generations (HFFG). He has also coordinated projects between the Manya Krobo Queen Mothers Association and other organizations like the Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Family Health International (FHI) 360, the Ghana Aids Commission and the Ghana Health Services. He is also a founding partner of Pine Synergy Company Limited and Coco Dome Plus Company Limited into Transport and Logistics and Agribusiness respectively.

Mr. David Nartey Tekpenor is a strong team player and well regarded by his peers for successfully working with the most difficult stakeholders in project communities. Most proud of successfully leading the implementation eight donor funded projects and advocated for the adaptation of positive and sustainable health practices to curb preventable diseases and the provision of youth friendly reproductive health services to address the increasing rate of teenage pregnancies and child mothers. He holds an MBA in Finance from Coventry University - UK, and a Mini MBA in Corporate Governance from the Accra Business School. He also possesses a bachelor’s degree in accounting and Project Management Certification from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) an HND certification in Accounting from Tamale Technical University. He is fluent in English and five Ghanaian languages (Krobo, Ga, Twi, Fanti and Dagbani) an is always seeking an opportunity to contribute to progressive and sustainable initiatives aimed at addressing societal development efforts.

CHRISTIAN OKPOTI ODAMTTEN - PROFILE

Christian Odamtten is a Ghanaian based banking & financial professional endowed with working experience in other sectors of the economy. He is an enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable, responsible and hard-working person. A mature team player who adaptable to all challenging situations. He is able to work well both in a team environment as well as using his own initiative. He has working experience in three out of the four financial sectors in Ghana, namely, the Bank & Non-bank financial sector, the Capital & Money markets sector and finally the Pensions sector.

Christian, before joining the Chamber of Iron & Steel Industry, is a Chairman/Independent Trustee for a number of Pension Fund Schemes and a banker with over 3 decades working experience in the Ghanaian Banking sector having served in senior management positions at Capital Bank, Express Savings and Loans, UBA (United Bank for Africa formerly Standard Trust Bank), Standard Chartered Bank and Cal Bank.

Mr. Odamtten is specialized in treasury management (including foreign exchange & money market trading), trade finance, structured trade, banking & non-banking financial institutions (e.g. microfinance, money transfer organisations & fintechs) retail banking, and corporate banking. He has a good rapport with the regulators in Ghana, namely, Bank of Ghana, Securities & Exchange Commission & National Pensions Regulatory Authority.

Christian has worked in various other sectors of the Ghanaian economy such as Oil & Gas, and revenue collection in different managerial capacities, namely as a Board Advisor, Operations Director and Managing Director. He represents a number of companies in Ghana, as the Country Manager; Veefin (a supply chain finance solution company), Manutan (a one stop shop office & industrial supplier), 221 Luxury (a Global luxury network), Convergence (a professional networking global platform) and Seventy-Nineth Global ( a Dubai/UK based investment company).

Mr. Odamtten holds an EMBA in Banking and Finance from the Paris Graduate School of Management and a BSc. (Hons) Administration also in Banking and Finance. He is a member of the Institute of Directors, Ghana.
